This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, forms, phone calls, text messages, and emails.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form, request a quote, book an appointment, call us, text us, or email us, we may collect:

  • Contact details: name, phone number, email address, state, and ZIP code.
  • Coverage details: what type of coverage you are looking for, how many people need coverage, and any notes you choose to share.
  • Records of our communications with you, including call notes, texts, and emails, and records of your consent to be contacted.

Please do not include detailed medical information in website form notes. If health information is needed to review a plan with you, a licensed agent will discuss it with you directly.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect:

  • IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, and general location derived from your IP address.
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, the website that referred you, and actions you take on our site (for example, starting or submitting a form).
  • Campaign information from links you clicked, such as UTM parameters (for example, which ad or source brought you to our site).
  • Information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies (see Section 6).

Information from others. We may receive information about you from insurance carriers, from agents we work with, and from advertising or analytics partners (for example, reports about which ads led to a visit).

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Respond to your requests and connect you with a licensed agent.
  • Review health coverage options with you and help you apply for a plan you choose.
  • Schedule, confirm, and remind you of appointments.
  • Contact you by phone call, SMS, and email as you have agreed (see Section 5).
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website, including preventing spam and fraud.
  • Measure and improve our advertising and understand how visitors use our site.
  • Keep records of consent and communications and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. How we share information

We share information only as described here:

  • Insurance carriers, when you ask us to help you get a quote or apply for coverage.
  • Licensed agents who work with Smart Health Quotes, so they can contact you and help you.
  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our customer relationship management (CRM) and scheduling platform, website hosting, email and text-message delivery, analytics, advertising, and spam-prevention providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena, or regulation, or to protect our rights, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers, if our business is merged, sold, or reorganized, subject to this policy.

Mobile information. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text-message opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers (such as our text-messaging platform) that help us deliver messages to you.

Advertising technologies. We do not sell your personal information for money. Our use of advertising cookies and pixels (described in Section 6) may be treated as “selling,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under some state privacy laws. Where those laws apply to you, you can opt out as described in Sections 6 and 9.

5. Calls, SMS and email communications and your consent

Consent. By checking the box and submitting a form, or by booking an appointment, you agree to receive calls, SMS (text) and email messages from Brockman Health LLC d/b/a Smart Health Quotes regarding health coverage options. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Calls. Licensed agents may call you at the phone number you provide about the health coverage options you asked about. You can ask us to stop calling at any time by telling the agent on the call, emailing hello@smarthealthquotes.com, or calling 1-888-775-3999. We will add your number to our internal do-not-call list.

Text messages.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Text HELP for assistance.
  • Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. After you reply STOP, we will send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive text messages from us unless you opt in again.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Email. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can click it at any time to stop receiving marketing emails. We may still send you messages related to a service you requested (for example, an appointment confirmation) where permitted by law.

You can also opt out of calls, texts or emails by emailing hello@smarthealthquotes.com or calling 1-888-775-3999.

6. Cookies, pixels, analytics, and advertising technologies

Cookies, Meta Pixel and advertising technologies. We use cookies, pixels and similar tools, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API, to understand how visitors use our website, measure and improve our advertising, and show you relevant ads. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, and actions you take on our site (for example, submitting a form), and may share it with Meta and other service providers. We do not intentionally send health information to advertising platforms. You can control cookies in your browser settings, opt out of personalized ads through your Meta ad settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance’s tools, and, where state law gives you the right, contact us to opt out of targeted advertising. See “Your choices” below.

The tools we use include:

  • Google Tag Manager, which we use to manage and load the tags and pixels on our website. Google Tag Manager itself is a delivery tool; the tags it loads may collect information as described here.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API. The Pixel runs in your browser. The Conversions API sends similar event information (for example, that a form was submitted) from our systems directly to Meta, which can help measure ads when browser tracking is limited. Information sent may include hashed (scrambled) contact details such as email or phone number so Meta can match the event to an account. We configure these tools so that health details and form notes are not included.
  • Google Analytics, connected through the Google Site Kit plugin for WordPress, to understand site traffic and usage. Google Site Kit may also connect Google Search Console to show how our site appears in search results.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our forms from spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Your choices.

  • Browser settings: You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some parts of the site, such as forms, may not work properly without them.
  • Meta: You can manage how Meta uses information to show you ads through your Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad preferences.
  • Google Analytics: You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) and manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
  • Interest-based ads: You can opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and, on mobile devices, through your device’s ad settings.
  • Browser privacy signals: Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” or similar privacy signals. Because there is no single industry standard for these signals, our website may not respond to them. You can use the other choices listed here, or contact us.
  • Opting out of targeted advertising: Where applicable state law gives you the right to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, you can make that request by emailing hello@smarthealthquotes.com or calling 1-888-775-3999.

7. Health information

We do not intentionally send health information to advertising platforms. Please do not include medical details in website form notes. Information you share with a licensed agent about your health or coverage needs is used to help you review and apply for coverage and is shared with carriers only as needed for that purpose.

8. Data retention and security

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide our services, keep records of consent and communications, and meet our legal, regulatory, and business record-keeping needs. When we no longer need it, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, as required by applicable state law. These may include the right to:

  • Know or access the personal information we have about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your information;
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or of targeted advertising;
  • Appeal a decision we make about your request.

To make a request, email hello@smarthealthquotes.com or call 1-888-775-3999. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent where state law allows. We will respond as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

10. Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed to or intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. A parent or guardian may provide information about dependents who need coverage when requesting help for their household.

11. Third-party websites

Our website may link to other websites, such as carrier sites, sponsor sites, or Healthcare.gov. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. Please review their privacy policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above and post the updated policy on this page. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
